Here are your current DWTF Pickleball Club officers and leaders. They are responsible for all operations and activities associated with the Club.
Don and his wife CaryAnn moved into DWTF in 2022 from the Seattle area. Don and CaryAnn learned how to play pickleball in 1999-2000 while living in the Pacific Northwest with wooden paddles and a court painted on their street. Don is a retired business aviation professional who enjoys woodworking, cooking and of course pickleball competition. The DWTF pickleball community has provided them a great opportunity for them to meet so many of their neighbors. Don is committed to contributing to the continued growth and development of the DWTF Pickleball Club through his participation on the pickleball club board.
Brad and his wife Cindy have been in DWTF since May of 2023. They started playing pickleball in 2021 in San Diego at the Bobby Riggs Tennis Club and have been hooked ever since. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get as much court time as he would like due to his employment commitment but hopes he and Cindy will find more opportunities to participate in the near future.
Doug and his wife, Terri, followed kids and grandkids from Illinois to Texas in 2022. Doug retired from higher education administration. In addition to a love of pickleball and a desire to help others learn the game and improve their skills, Doug has a nerdy side, as evidenced by mild separation anxiety when he does not have his iPad in hand.
Trish and her husband, Bill, have resided in McKinney for an impressive 35 years. Their decision to relocate to Del Webb was sparked by the sight of people playing pickleball. They were instantly captivated and couldn’t resist giving it a try. Given her background in finance, becoming Treasurer was an obvious choice for her.
Brenda and her husband, Richard, relocated from San Antonio to Del Webb in 2020 to be near their two daughters' families, which include five grandchildren. Brenda is a retired special education administrator and educational diagnostician. Richard and Brenda are loving this friendly, active 55+ community with all the new friends that they have made. Pickleball has made that possible.
Tonia, Texan born and raised, high-tailed it to Del Webb with her hubby Allen for a new adventure. They made the move to be closer to their awesome great / grandkids, who bring them laughs and good times. Pickleball is a close second, because who doesn't love dinking, drilling, and playing with new friends? Her goal is to keep the pickleball club apprised of club activities that bring us all together.
Ellen moved to Texas in 1981 from Maryland. She and her husband Clayton moved to Trinity Falls in 2021 where she lived close enough to hear the joy of pickleball being played in Del Webb and moved quickly to find out what all the fun was about. Ellen loves pickleball and all the social interaction associated with it. Ellen looks forward to meeting everyone in the club and understanding from the members what will help improve the social experience.
